Hey Everyone,

Our first discovery takes us on a quick trip to Sunset Beach approximately 6 kilometers from Bloubergstrand. If you prefer smaller crowds this Cape Town beachfront is perfect however, the beach's real beauty shines most on low tide with glassy flat sand perfect for sunset strolls.

I could easily lose myself on this beach for hours just watching the waves roll onto the sand, walking along the coast, and collecting shells and pebbles. We still have to explore the entirety of this beach as we have only been on a small stretch of it but what we have seen we have wanted to share.

This beach would make an amazing swimming spot during low tide as the waves are calm and the water somehow feels less cold than normal. Unfortunately due to rip currents, a more than likely lack of shark nets (based on speculation) and no lifeguards near this would be very risky and could result in serious injury or worse.
